Winter is here and Baby, it is cold outside! Inside, aspiring young chefs are invited to warm up with cozy cooking in Tim’s Kitchen. For our winter sessions, it’s all about Comfort Food.
We will be creating hearty winter dishes sure to become warming favorites. Each week, we build upon our cooking and baking skills with seasonal Items. This age-appropriated class is an introduction to knife skills, measuring, kitchen vocabulary, food science, and eating what warms the soul.
February begins with our heart-healthy session. We will kick off this session making Breakfast for Dinner. Waffles with WTF's own syrup, hearty and healthy granola bars with WTF honey—great for a grab-and-go snack. We'll also warm up with Italian wedding soup up with pastina and homegrown farm herbs, baked ziti with homemade sauce from our jarred farm tomatoes and gooey, cheesy bread, plus sweet and sour chicken bundles. This class is taught by Chef Kathleen, of Culinary Kids, who enjoys providing foundational knowledge to our youngest chefs.
Classes are 4:15-5:30 Mondays, 6 Sessions, $390 pp
