Japanese for the Home Cook

Japanese Cooking.jpg

Japanese cuisine is not all about sushi. There are so many other delicious Japanese dishes that are simple, healthy, and easy to make at home. Let's learn how to make some of the popular dishes that often appear on the table in Japanese households.

Aya was born and raised in Japan and came to the U.S. to go to college. She teaches classes in her own kitchen or yours. When she is not teaching or cooking for private parties, she works as a recipe consultant.

Giving Tuesday is May 5th

giving tuesday.jpg

Since closing the Farm to the public, our major sources of income have temporarily dwindled, but our animals still need to eat—and they eat a LOT!  On #Giving Tuesday, we're asking100 Farm Friends to donate $20 each to help us raise the money we need to feed our animals for the next few months. We have many mouths to feed, from chickens and ducks to alpacas, sheep, goats and bunnies. Thank you for your donation on #Giving Tuesday.

Zero Waste Round Table

Zero Waste.jpg

Come join a roundtable discussion with RTM Representative Andrew Colabella and Westport teachers Stacy Fowle and Ashley Moran, along with Westport students, to find ways to reduce waste in our town and in your home.

Moderated by our special guest, Will Haskell, CT State Senator. Ms. Fowle and Ms. Moran have led the composting movement in the Westport Public lower schools with the inspiration of their students. Andrew Colabella was the RTM lead petitioner to ban single use plastic in Westport restaurants with the assistance of students who spoke at the hearing.

Come listen to the kids and teachers who inspired the movement and find out how we can join in.
