After much deliberation with Town Officials, Harvest Fest 2026 is now cancelled due to the impending storm, a weather event that is out of our control.
We sincerely thank you for your patience while we grappled with this decision. We were hoping for a miraculous change in the weather forecast today, but with wind is predicted at over 20 mph and gusts predicted at 40 mph, a tented outdoor event is no longer safe for guests, sponsors, vendors, talent (bands and auctioneer), volunteers and staff.
As you might imagine, we have put an incredible amount of time, energy, resources and volunteer effort into this event that was sold-out to 270 guests. We cannot thank you enough for your support of the Farm. Cancelling Harvest Fest is a big loss for us, as the funds from the event normally go towards offering scholarships to local children and defraying basic Farm costs for the coming year, such as animal care and feeding.
At the same time, we care deeply about the people who make this event possible. We are very mindful of the team who would have been traveling to the Farm, setting up and working the event. We would never want anyone to feel that the importance of the event comes before their safety.
As stated in ticket promotion, we do not offer refunds for cancelled events, and your purchase will go towards defraying the costs already spent on tents, rentals, food, drink, staff, auctioneer, bands, etc.
All of us on the Wakeman Town Farm team feel terrible about having to cancel. Our sincere apologies.
In the meantime, we hope you will stay warm, dry and safe as the storm runs its course.

PS: Because we want to end on a more positive note, we are going to pull a ticket purchasers' name from a hat for a special weekend in Westport, including an overnight stay at the Delamar for two, a spa treatment at The Spa at Delamar and Dinner for Two at Dandelion, the new restaurant at The Delamar.
