save the date! the Wakeman Town Farm Holiday Tree lighting is set for 12.5.25

You’re Invited to the Annual Wakeman Town Farm Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 5 from 4:00pm – 6:30 pm

Who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned tradition? The Wakeman Family started the tree lighting many moons ago, and we are keeping the cherished tradition alive for all to share! It’s a festive, fun and free event for the whole family! Enjoy sweet treats and hot chocolate courtesy of Sweet P Bakery and The Granola Bar.  As is our tradition, we’re featuring a variety of local school musicians from Greens Farms and Saugatuck Elementary schools plus a few members of the Staples High School Band, playing festive Christmas and Chanukah favorites to help us get into the holiday spirit. This year as a bonus we also welcome the student jazz duo, On The Count Of Two to start off our evening with holiday cheer. Join us as our newly elected First Selectman Kevin Christie, Second Selectwoman Amy Wistreich and Bill Constantino (a Wakeman family member) light up the Wakeman tree to kick off the season and keep a generations-old family tradition alive for the community!

Free and open to the public. This is an outdoor, family-friendly event. Dress warmly.

This event is sponsored by Freudigman & Billings, LLC

LET’S GIVE BACK! The event is free, but in the spirit of the season, we offer 3 simple ways to give back to our neighbors in need during the holiday season. Choose one or more!

1.         We are collecting unused or new diapers of all sizes to support our partner Help for Kids so they can stock the Stamford Health and the Diaper Bank of Connecticut.

2.        We are collecting canned goods for Hall Neighborhood House, a true community center in Bridgeport, addressing the needs of every age group in the community.

3.        We are collecting unwrapped toys for children of all ages for the annual collection spearheaded by our friends at Al’s Angels.
