A fun art class where kids will create a Plein air painting on farm grounds, inspired by the animals, gardens and landscape around them!
Plein air painting is the practice of creating finished artworks outdoors, "in the open air" as the French term suggests. It involves painting in direct contact with nature, capturing the essence of a scene in its natural light and atmosphere.
Participants will be led by artist Michele Hankin and will have the opportunity to paint what inspires them on the farm grounds. Participants will have the option to choose to display their art work at a show during our Saturday Farm Stand on September 6th and take home after.
This class is for kids ages 7 -11 and participants should bring a smock or wear clothes they don't mind getting messy.
